Pressed For Time? Focus On Your Legs!

The largest muscles in the body are found below the waist. Because muscles require energy (aka “calories”) to perform movements, it makes sense that engaging your legs will maximize your calorie burn and rev your metabolism.

If you find yourself in a hurry and can only squeeze in a few exercises; focus on lunges, squats, step-ups, and jumps! Many fitness professionals I work with admit that when a client is overweight, they will never skimp on giving their clients a great lower body work out! Of course, you don’t want to focus on your legs at the exclusion of your upper body, but if the clocks ticking and you have to choose…get squatting!
