Exercise Is Your Happy Pill
When you’re in the throes of feeling blue, exercise probably isn’t on the top of your list, but maybe it should be. Exercising causes the release of a host of “feel-good” chemicals that can really, tangibly, lift your depression. Simply stated, exercise can break your bad mood! The next time you’re feeling down, try to engage in your favorite exercise. You don’t need to go “all out” or even strive for fitness results to get your happy juices flowing; you just need to do something that gets your body moving. Go for a walk, ride your bike, rollerblade along the beach, or jump rope for a while and you will undoubtedly feel better when you are done.
